Throughout her high school athletic career, Taylor excelled in basketball and volleyball. She is a four-year varsity letter winner in both sports.
Taylor was named captain of both the varsity volleyball and varsity basketball teams for the 2012-13 seasons. “At a school the size of Minnetonka, this is no small feat. Taylor is the ideal captain: positive, motivational and intense in her pursuit of excellence,” said Leah Dasovich, Minnetonka’s girls basketball head coach.
Playing on Minnetonka’s #4-ranked basketball team in the state, Taylor earned All-Conference, All-State Academics and the Minnetonka Hustle Awards in 2013.
As a starter for the #8-ranked volleyball team in the state, Taylor earned All-Conference Honorable Mention, MVP and All-State Academics in 2013. She also holds the Minnetonka record for number of blocks (12) in a single match.
Not only is Taylor an outstanding athlete, she is also an excellent student. Taylor is an AP scholar and has been on the “A” honor roll every quarter during her four years at Minnetonka High School. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and is the 2013 “Triple A” (Athletics, Arts and Academics) Award Winner for Minnetonka High School.
Taylor has played the viola in the high school orchestra for four years. She is a First Mate Senior Leader, a highly selective group of seniors chosen to be mentors to freshmen. She is also a leader with “It’s Your Choice” and “Choose Your Future,” part of the Tonka Leadership Challenge (TLC).
Taylor plans on studying sports medicine and human physiology in college.
