Travel Tryout Volunteers
For volunteers who would like to help with travel team evaluations and tryouts. Volunteer jobs include: checking players in, collecting forms, handing out jerseys, etc.
Admission Table Volunteers
We need parent volunteers for each MHS home game to sit at a table and check in the Travel & Rec League players who come to the game.
The TGBC provides free admission to all Minnetonka girls' basketball players (JV, Sophomore, 9th Grade, youth travel and girls rec) at the Minnetonka Girls Varsity Basketball home games. We need parent volunteers for each home game to check in Travel & Rec League girls who come to the game. In order to ensure that all home varsity games are covered, each team has been assigned to cover one game during the season. The games are set up with two shifts: 5:45-7:00 and 7:00 until half-time (approx. 8:15). One person can cover both shifts or the team can designate two different volunteers. Thank you for helping the TGBC to provide this wonderful benefit to all our girls basketball players!
Check In Responsibilities:
Volunteers should plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before their scheduled shift. A check in table will be available in front of the gym doors. When you arrive at the gym, please pick up the girls basketball player rosters, player tickets (these are different from the regular tickets) and a table sign from the main ticket seller (near the concession stand).
As players arrive, check off their names on the rosters and give them a player ticket for admission to the game. If a girl's name is not on the roster, they must purchase a standard ticket.
The players get a different ticket than the standard spectators. At the end of the ticket sales, the check in volunteer needs to count up the number of players checked in and match that number with the number of player tickets distributed. The two numbers should match. Once the tickets and rostered are counted and matched, put everything together (rosters, tickets and signs) and return them to the ticket seller or the site manager.
